"Concrete Filling Monitor" for visualization of the concrete placement to be released to the market in October 2015

Fujita Corporation (Headquarter: Tokyo Shibuya-ku, President: Takuji Ueda) and SAN-EI Electronic Industries Co., Ltd (Headquarter: Nagano, Komoro City, President: Tatsuo Oshigane) have commercialized the "Concrete Filling Monitor", which will be released for sale in October by Kokankyo Engineering Corporation (Headquarter: Tokyo Shibuya-ku, President: Toshihito Kondo). Kokyanko Engineering is a subsidiary company of Fujita.

The "Concrete Filling Monitor" assists concrete placement by continuously detecting electrostatic capacity while concrete is filling the mold, enabling site staff to visualize concrete levels in real-time. The decision of its market release is made after assessment of its real-world applicability.

Since it was first developed in 2011, its applicability has been tested at a number of construction sites, and its precision and system efficiency have been improved. In the system, a cable that measures the height of concrete placement with high precision (< 1% error) and a wireless system that detects wide range of measuring results are specially developed. The system was registered as a NETIS (New Technology Information System) item (Registration Number: KT-140049-A) in Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Fujita will continue to use this system to help ensure high quality concrete construction. Kokankyo Engineering Corporation will work with Fujita to sell the system and develop related site measurement and management business.
