Juniors of School of Architecture visit construction sites

On 07 July 2012, 42 students and two professors from the School of Architecture and Environment at Hiroshima University visited Fujita's construction site at Asaminami-ku, Hiroshima City where a new office building is being built for the Asaminami Fire Department at the request of Hiroshima City.

One of the professors, the chairman of city design advisory council of Hiroshima City who was involved in the design plan of this facility, requested this visit so that students could observe the whole process of construction.

During the visit, various construction technologies were explained - including a base isolation system for earthquakes, construction methods in narrow working spaces, as well as the outline of the project. We hope that the visit provided students with very detailed information about a construction company for their future recruiting activities.

Now, Fujita Corporation is positively developing construction education in order to let various people know the actual situations, contribution to society and high grade technologies of construction industry through inviting people to actual construction sites and lectures on demand.
