Students of a Technical High School visited our building construction sites in Yamanashi Prefecture

Totally 39 students and a teacher of the Kofu Prefectural Technical High School visited our project sires (the common building for local government in Kofu-city and the broadcasting building of NHK Kofu in Yamanashi Prefecture) on May 26 and June 09 respectively.

The purpose of the site visiting this time was to deepen knowledge and interest on building construction and to support students' job selections for their recruitment activities.

In the visiting tour, firstly site engineers explained what general contractors were, then engineers explained the outline of the projects followed by students' visiting actual sites. All of the students experienced actual construction sites for the first time. When they entered into the sites they gave glad cries. They visited various types of construction work sites and they showed much interest in the explanations by site engineers and workers. Also, for an anti-seismic device and a tower crane (which cannot be seen after completion), they also showed much interest. At the meeting after the site visiting tour, students gave various questions such as "How to cope with hot season" "How the anti-seismic device resists against earthquakes". Also, students gave comments on "workers' working attitude is very good" including heartfelt expression of thanks.

We positively continue this activity in order for young persons to learn pleasure to work in construction industry and to nurture attention to environments and urban developments.
