Fujita Corporation (Headquarter: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. President: Yoji Okumura), a member of Daiwa House Group, hosted a New Year's celebration today and here we'd like to share a digest of our CEO's speech.

3. Summary

A lot had happened in 2016; UK's separation from EU, or the U.S. Presidential Election to name a few. The outlook of world's economy as well as overall Japanese society is looking more obscure and unpredictable than formerly anticipated.

The construction industry we serve has been thriving in such an economic climate. However, it's time to think anew. We must continue our effort to asses underlying issues and always find ways to outdo ourselves, instead of being satisfied with just meeting current goals. In order for us to achieve sustainable growth as a company under any circumstances, we need to take steps, no matter how small they may be, to obtain "true capability" in preparation for the future to come.

Starting 2017, as announced late last year, we become an official partner of Shonan Bellmare, a professional soccer team based in Kanagawa, Japan, for the first time in 18 years. We hope this partnership will be a reminder for us, not to be conceited over short-term success, but to stay as passionate about our growth as they are about the sport.

Let us be confident and bold in completing projects, and implementing necessary changes and improvements. This year, we'll be reborn and advance to the next level.
