Summary:

Congratulations on becoming the new members of our Company. Ladies and gentlemen, by entering Fujita Corporation, you have now joined the ranks of the full-fledged members - working adults - of our society. Any company, any enterprise exists because of the need our society sees in them. It is our sincere wish that with your work at Fujita each and every one of you is destined to fulfill your part of this important role.

Fujita has been involved in business of monozukuri as a construction company enterprise. No asset is ever taken for granted: human resources, technologies, capitals, and the information resources. We always stride to make the best use of the assets entrusted to us by carrying out the right decisions every step of the way. Furthermore, we aim to make a tangible contribution to the society by following our corporate philosophy that states:

"For Nature, for Society, for Communities, and for more fulfilling lives, Fujita is constantly at work".

I shall explain the role our company plays based upon its corporate philosophy. Firstly, on the subject of our environment - the Nature - of which we all are an intricate part of, I would like to say that the role of a socially-responsible construction company stems from its commitment to protect the environment we were blessed with by means of conservation and also to conduct the construction development activities with the utmost consideration to and protection of the people. Let's take an instance of constructing a dam. The two goals we're striving to achieve are the goal of flood control and disaster prevention (structural aspect) and the other one is preservation of the entire ecosystem - not only the human lives - by means of the effective utilization of the water and energy resources. It is precisely Fujita's job to enrich our nature which we harmoniously exist with. Next, more on the enriching our society and the towns we live in. In a sense that is applicable to our industry, monozukuri (literally, "making things") constitutes a profound interminable necessity, which when satisfied, provides us with the transportation, the living infrastructure, and all the way of having the necessary production facilities and equipment. Its cornerstone is the constant engagement with the other industries.

Finally, about the enrichment of people's lives, making them more fulfilling. By enriching our towns, the society and the natural environment, we actually foster and nourish our very own culture. In turn, the human heart that has been nurtured and nourished goes on to making the very things which are bound to sustain the exactly same aspect: enhancing further the environment it exists in - the nature, the living environment, and the society. And so it follows. The single most important aspect of Fujita's corporate philosophy is to enrich the human heart, which is the cornerstone of any further subsequent enrichment stemming out from it.

It is with the tireless work and getting the must-do things accomplished without hesitation or a hint of carelessness that we approach our day-to-day operations. It is only when the humans fall out of focus that they are bound to repeat their mistakes. We, at Fujita, hold it with the most importance to work hard and be ready in our preparedness to continue contributing to our company's role in the society.

In our line of work, a single person's dedication is not sufficient. It is with the gratitude to the colleagues, and keeping one's integrity with the other peers that our work gets accomplished. When each and every one of us takes on a day's work with the utmost dedication and integrity, then our role in accomplishing the outcome becomes the reality. When keeping Fujita's corporate philosophy in mind and with the sense of gratitude and personal integrity, there is no doubt that you will be able to have the fulfilling career that is full of possibilities.
