Last year, we experienced the East Japan Great Earthquake and other unexpected difficult situations. Indeed, it was a national crisis year. Although short-term investment in the construction industry has increased owing to the need to rebuild the area affected by the East Japan Great Earthquake and Tsunami disaster and slight increase of public investments, receiving orders will become more challenging and it is likely that our business climate will be still struggling.

In these business climates, we are promoting selection and concentration in management and reallocating management resources to domestic and overseas marketable areas to effectively raise profits. The challenges should be made in the filed of business scale, business activity areas, formation and personnel management. The challenges are to strengthen marketing and ability to handle costs, to strengthen foundations for growth markets, to secure personnel and reform of operation process.

Last year, I re-recognized the importance of strengthening corporate governance. We can achieve sound corporate governance if top managements have strong ethics and a sense of responsibility. Also, tops of each departments and offices should be conscious. Fujita should be a company continuously implementing right things firmly and be continued to do common practice. This year, I strongly focus on this point.

I would like to ask corporate members to meet clients' needs with all our efforts, and to pursue quality and profits, to provide unique value to clients, and take all the responsibility for that with sense of speed.
