Fujita Corporation and OHBA CO., LTD have entered into a joint venture to undertake the "SENDAI Tomizawa station west land readjustment project" (described below). The Joint venture agreement was signed on 27th September 2013. Under the terms of the JV, Fujita will be responsible for site preparation and office management, whilst OHBA will take charge of research design.

The project site is located 6km south of "Sendai station" and the center of development area is located 1.5km from "Tomizawa station" on the North-South Subway Line. It is largest scale land readjustment project, covering 72ha and involving some 290 stakeholders.
Fujita and OHBA both have strong track-records in the area of land readjustment. We use our experience to deliver a high-value town readjustment project. The project will incorporate a wide variety of facilities under the banner "Sustainable Life Town". These will include everything from retail outlets (such as a shopping mall) through to a medical welfare institute to enhance safety levels for an ageing population. By doing so we seek to enhance the residents' "quality of life" providing safety, comfort and tranquility.
