Measures for the Great East Japan Earthquake

Immediately after the occurrence of the Great East Japan Earthquake at 14:46 on March 11, 2011, Fujita Corporation set up a head disaster countermeasures office at the head office in Tokyo and a local disaster countermeasures office at the Tohoku Branch in Sendai-city, Miyagi Prefecture, in order to make efforts for disaster restorations as possibly as we can.

Between the head and local disaster office, periodical TV meetings are held, and reports on damages on the sites under construction and already constructed structures by Fujita Corporation are updating at all times. In addition, handlings for clients' needs and actual supportive and restoration works have been already started.

The confirmation of employees' safety has started just after the occurrence of the earthquake, and by 14 April, safety of all the employees has been confirmed. In addition, it has been already confirmed that office buildings of the head office and branch offices have no damage and are available for ordinary operations.

Regarding the support activities for disaster areas, we have transported relief supplies on March 13 and 14. Also we have dispatched 14 persons to the areas from our head office and several branches.

Without a break, we all will be positively involved in the restoration works.
